As an innovative solution to reduce traffic congestions and more importantly, its associated negative impacts, SmartMOVE will develop and pilot test a completely new sustainable form of commuting – dynamic group transfer by van – as an innovative solution to reduce traffic congestion and its associated negative impacts.

As many as 120,000 people commute to work in the capital every day. In pursuit of the objective of reducing emissions, the group of commuters from towns where public passenger transport does not provide efficient connections or where its capacity is insufficient, is highly relevant. Attractive alternatives to the private car should be sought. The project will test whether dynamic shared transfers by van can come close enough to the comfort, speed and flexibility of private commuting to attract at least a few percent of people who commute alone by private car to change their travel choice.

Who are the shuttle rides for?

Organised free transport in an 8-passenger van will be available to all commuters from Kranj, Kamnik, Domžale, Radomlje, Komenda, Mengeš or Trzin to the UKC Ljubljana and BTC areas.

When will be the shuttle service available?

Every day from 1 February to 30 April 2023.

How can I apply?

The dynamics of the connections have been designed on the basis of applications until 20 January 2023. You can still hop on the shuttle if there are places available! Please submit your interest via the form at: www.goopti.com/gremoskupaj/prijava/.

What do the shuttle services offer?

  • Convenient group commuting from your home town with professional drivers – also in brand new electric vans – at a time to suit your schedule.
  • Savings of up to €170 every month.
  • A relaxed commute without the hassle and cost of parking.
  • An environmentally friendly alternative to the private car, saving up to 70% on emissions.
  • Free, no obligation and no stress!

Dynamic shuttle transfer as a new form of commuting is coordinated by project partner GoOpti d.o.o. A positive user experience might serve as a basis for the development of an improved, sustainable transport modality that can approach the price of public transport.

The shuttle services are fully funded by the SmartMOVE project, which is co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 with Slovenian participation. More information on the shuttle services can be found at www.gremoskupaj.si.
